Nader,

A1: Yes, each network operator has its own code. I would suggest maybe giving Zain a call to ask if they support SMS delivery reports and if so what the code to request it is.

A2: It is a software issue. If iPhone 3G has this option, then you should also be able to use it on any first gen iPhone that's updated to the iPhone 2.0 firmware. It may of course be that a particular operator simply does not support SMS delivery reports, in which case it won't work even with the right software installed.

You may also like to check out or even try the SMS delivery report request codes for other network operators around the world over at iPhones Talk.

Hope this helps.

this doesn't work in Bahrain on Zain network.

Q1: i've heard that this is controlled totally by the network operator. is it true?

Q2: if the new iphone 3G will have this option, it means that it doesn't depend on the operator! then y can't we do it on the older iphone? is it a hardware or software issue?

thnx,

Erika, it might be that the copy you downloaded is corrupt. Try downloading it again and also, be sure to download it direct from apple: www.apple.com/itunes/download/. Hope this fixes it.

I would also like to use LaTeXIt + services + Pages on Leopard. But I have troubles with it:
- with LatexIt version 1.14.4 I can't use services in Leopard
- version 1.15.0 should be able to use Services, but does not LaTeX - there may be some trouble with paths or whatever, nothing I have been able to fix

Any hints about this?
