Get your spelling right with OS X
This is a quick and easy trick to get your spelling correct before you even type a whole word! Simply type the first few letters of the word whose spelling you’re not sure about and hit the ‘esc’ key. For instance, typing the letters ‘disap’ will quickly help you figure out whether you spell the word disappointment with a a single ‘p’ or with two ‘p’s.
When you type the first few letters and then hit the ‘esc’ key, a scroll down list pops up showing a list of words that begin with the letters you typed! It’s a very neat trick and it has been reported to work in TextEdit, iChat and Mail.
